October 21 - The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
Explore other worlds, speculative and fantastical, at the Other Worlds Book Club! This book club is a bimonthly (every other month) meeting on the third Tuesday at 6:30.

Our first meeting features Martha Wells’s All Systems Red, the first novella of The Murderbot Diaries, an award-winning series recently adapted into a TV show for Apple+.

Murderbot is a security android who has gained sentience and hacked the governor module controlling its behavior. Instead of going on a murderous rampage, it spends its time standing guard while streaming space soap operas. This current job, however, is just not letting it catch a break. Between monstrous alien creatures that didn’t make it onto the planet’s crappy survey, inquisitive clients trying to break its cover (and run, not walk, into danger!), and the ever-looming threat of being slagged by the corporation it belongs to, Murderbot will have to put everything on the line to finish the job and get off the planet in one piece.
Cozy Mystery Book Club
We meet the third Wednesday of the month at 10:00am in the Computer Lab. As the name suggests, we read cozy mysteries! Group members are typically responsible for acquiring a copy of the book, but we do tend to share copies throughout the month.
Eclectic Book Club
We meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm in the Library auditorium.
Foreign Film Night
Join us for a foreign film on the second Friday of each month. Join us at 7:00pm in the auditorium. Snacks and drinks provided!
